Shopping for Children Prescription Eyeglasses

Von daianna, 07:00

It is that time of the year wherein I start looking for a pair of eyeglasses fit for my little mushroom. Her annual eye exam is just around the corner. With a $45.00 co-pay, everything is covered – the exam, the optical frame and the transition lenses. But this time, it can be expensive. Our vision insurance only covers the frame every two years. Unfortunately, her prescription eyeglasses need to be replaced every year.

With the optical clinic that we use, they sell their frames from a hundred dollars onward. That is expensive! So I am thinking of getting the frame from another retailer, somewhere wherein cheap is not equal to inferior quality. Obviously, my little mushroom wears her eyeglasses all the time. Hence, quality is the utmost deciding factor. Second – safety. Last – costs. Well, I am glad my little mushroom is not brand-conscious, and mostly leans toward design and color. As the queen of cheapsville, I try to meet all requirements by looking into not one or two, but multiple eyewear product retailers, both in-store and online. So far, the only online store that I have been surfing is Zenni Optical. Actually, I have known the existence of this company since last year. Since then, I have been keeping tab on the designs (and costs) of their children eyeglasses. Also, I noticed that their website has changed. It is more user-friendly, and even has the online tool to get the perfect match for every face shape. It’s cool.

Wish me luck! Hopefully, my little mushroom will like one of the eyeglasses that Zenni Optical offers.
